Korda Known Unknown

Alberto Díaz Gutiérrez (Havana, 1928 – Paris, 2001), known as Korda to the general public, is internationally renowned as one of the great masters of Cuban photography of the revolutionary period. His most famous image is undoubtedly that of Che Guevara, entitled “Heroic Guerrilla”, taken in 1960.

The Korda – Known Unknown exhibition invited the visitors to discover all the facets of his extraordinary career, with a special emphasis on his close and almost unknown link with the world of fashion, as well as his role in the Revolution and in other political, social and cultural contexts in Cuba.

In the two months it was on display Korda – Known Unknown was seen by 10.000 visitors.
