Hollywood Icons at Ludwiggalerie Schloss Oberhausen

Within a month, the exhibition Hollywood Icons – Photographs from the John Kobal Foundation will be presented in Oberhausen, Germany, at the Ludwiggalerie, thus resuming the world tour after the successful presentations in Italy (Udine and Roma) and Brazil (São Paulo).

Between May 19 and September 15, 2019, it will be possible to go on a journey to the golden age of Hollywood by the hand of great masters of photography such as George Hurrell, Clarence Sinclair Bull, Laszlo Willinger, Ted Allan, Eugene Robert Richee, Ernest Bachrach or Harriet Louise, artists who created the glamorous image that led some of the great American actors to world fame.

Curated by Simon Crocker and Robert Dance, both from the John Kobal Foundation, the Hollywood Icons exhibition provides the public with an opportunity to see 161 photographs of the great stars of Hollywood’s golden years (from the 20s to the 60s) also giving a glimpse on how the “star factory” worked and featuring the man behind the Collection, John Kobal.
