Christos Bokoros Towards the bare Essencials

For the first time in Portugal, Christos Bokoros, a painter of the contemporary avant-garde and one of the most important contributors to contemporary Greek thought, presented 26 of his most recent works at the Cascais Cultural Centre as part of the exhibition Towards the bare Essencials.

Under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in Lisbon and in the context of the Greek Presidency of the European Union, the exhibition arrives in Lisbon as part of its European tour, following publication in Portuguese of a collection of pages from the artist’s diary and of theoretical texts by the artist on Art and Philosophy. It is a work that attests to the affinity among all peoples, values and cultures beyond geographical and linguistic boundaries, which reinforces and manifests the belief that Europe is composed of the works of its people.
