Marilyn Monroe The Last Session, by Bert Stern

The year Marilyn Monroe would have celebrated her 85th birthday, the D. Luís I Foundation and Cascais City Hall showed the Marilyn Monroe: The Last Session by Bert Stern exhibition, which had never been displayed in Portugal before. Among 2.500 photographs the US photographer selected 60 images from his last photo shoot with the actress, six weeks before she died, on 5 August 1962.

Offering a personal insight into Marilyn Monroe as a public figure and as a woman was a triumph of determination, since the procedures to bring this exhibition to the Portuguese public took a total of 5 years.

Work developed by TE for this project:
Project Management (in collaboration with the D. Luís I Foundation)
