Comedy Wildlife in Galicia

In the spring-summer of 2025, the itinerant exhibition “The Comedy Wildlife“, in its outdoor version, toured several cities in Galicia, Spain, with a selection of award-winning photographs that capture hilarious moments of wildlife. Organized by Afundación – Obra Social ABANCA, in partnership with the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards and TE, the initiative was part of the Corrente Cultural programme, which brings art and culture to public spaces, connecting audiences with nature and environmental conservation.

“The Comedy Wildlife” stopped in Noia, where it was on display from 10 June to 6 July 2025 at the city’s Alameda; in Moaña, from 10 to 31 July 2025 at the Passeio Marítimo; and in Sanxenxo, from 2 to 31 August 2025 at the Porto Desportivo Juan Carlos I.

In addition to these open-air presentations, in 2025 the exhibition also had indoor editions in other locations, such as the Afundación Exhibition Hall in Ourense (from 13 February to 15 May 2025), which welcomed more than 7,600 visitors, echoing the success of earlier showings in Ferrol and Vigo in 2024. The exhibition is currently on display at the National Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid, where it can be visited until 14 September 2025.

The “Comedy Wildlife” exhibition blends entertainment with education, offering audiences a playful way to appreciate the beauty of the animal world while underlining the importance of protecting species and preserving biodiversity.
