Days of Punk by Michael Grecco opens at Huntsville Museum of Art
On October 17, 2025, the Huntsville Museum of Art opened Days of Punk: Photographs by Michael Grecco, inviting visitors to embark on an immersive visual journey through the punk rock movement and its lasting impact on culture. The exhibition will be on view through February 1, 2026.
Featuring more than 100 striking photographs, the show captures the raw energy and rebellious spirit of punk rock in New York and Boston during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Through the lens of acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Michael Grecco, visitors will encounter iconic figures such as Adam Ant, Billy Idol, The Clash, Wendy O. Williams, Poison Ivy, and Johnny Rotten, both onstage and behind the scenes.
On November 6, 2025, Grecco will visit the museum for a special presentation and reception. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear firsthand stories and insights from the photographer, gaining a deeper look into the moments and personalities captured in his work.
