Comedy Wildlife in A Coruña, Spain

The Comedy Wildlife exhibition is on view at the Sede Afundación A Coruña until September 12, 2026, with free admission. The show brings together 60 photographs selected from the prestigious international Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards between 2015 and 2022, celebrating the most humorous and unexpected side of the animal kingdom.

The images capture animals in such surprising and expressive moments that they do more than entertain. They invite audiences to look at wildlife with humor and empathy, and to reflect on the conservation of species and the natural world.

Founded in 2015 by photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is built on a simple premise: depressing images push people away, while laughter draws them in. The exhibition has travelled to Portugal, Spain, Canada, the United States of America, and Australia, and is designed for audiences of all ages.

The show in A Coruña is the result of a partnership between Afundación – Obra Social de Abanca, Terra Esplêndida, and the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, which has previously brought the exhibition to other Spanish cities including Madrid, Vigo, Ourense, and Ferrol.
