Frida Kahlo: Her Photos on display in Springfield, MA
On June 1, 2024, the most recent presentation of the exhibition Frida Kahlo: Her Photos opened to the public at the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts in Springfield, Massachusetts. The D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts is part of the Springfield Museums, a Smithsonian-affiliated consortium of museums.
The New England audience has now the opportunity to see photographs from Frida Kahlo’s personal collection and discover the woman behind the artist – her origins and roots, her friendships and romantic relationships, her constant fight with her fragile health, her political tendencies, and the strong role that photography played in her life and work. The exhibition is on view through September 8, 2024.
Frida Kahlo: Her Photos is an exhibition by the Frida Kahlo Museum – Casa Azul/Diego Rivera Museum; and Bank of Mexico, Fiduciary in the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Museum Trust. The exhibition’s worldwide tour is managed by Terra Esplêndida.
