Simon Crocker | President Emeritus of the John Kobal Foundation
We are pleased to present the first video of the SHARING ART THOUGHTS series, which aims to encourage the conversation about art and its intrinsic ability to bring people together as a community in times of quarantine and uncertainty about the future.
The first guest is Simon Crocker, curator, author and President Emeritus of the John Kobal Foundation, London. Having been Managing Director of The Kobal Collection, Crocker worked closely with John Kobal from 1975 until his death in 1991. Throughout his career, Simon Crocker had the opportunity to work with some of Hollywood’s great photographers, such as George Hurrell, Clarence Sinclair Bull, Laszlo Willinger and Ted Allan. Crocker is also responsible for the publication of more than 40 books and 30 exhibitions in world-renowned institutions.
Here is his perspective on the impact of the pandemic on the art world.
