Ten years ago, the Casa Azul – Frida Kahlo Museum in México City premiered an amazing exhibition that has been travelling the world since then, becoming one of the most successful exhibitions on the road in recent years: it has already travelled 19 cities (and 3 more are scheduled), in 10 different countries, having received almost a million visitors.

We’re talking about the Frida Kahlo – Her Photos, an exhibition that allows us to better understand the artistic work of Frida Kahlo, considered a surrealist painter by many, giving us the opportunity to get to know the woman behind the artist: her origins and roots, her friendships and romantic relationships, her constant fight with her fragile health, her political tendencies and also, the strong role that photography played in her life and work.

After one more successful presentation in Chihuahua,  Mexico, with almost 43.000 visitors over three months, Frida Kahlo – Her Photos will be shown next at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chigaco, USA, from where it will follow, later on in the year, to Prague, in the Czeck Republic and to Ghent, in Belgium, in mid-2021.
