Hollywood Icons in Spain for the first time

After presentations in Italy, Brazil, Germany and Portugal, it is now Almería’s turn to host for the first time in Spain the exhibition Hollywood Icons – Photographs from the John Kobal Foundation. This is also the first time the exhibition is presented after the museums have reopened after months of forced closure caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The exhibition, presented by the Centro Andaluz de la Fotografía (Almería, Andalusia), opened to the public on June 14, 2021, with the presence of Mar Sánchez Estrella, Secretary General for Cultural Innovation and Museums, and Eloísa Cabrera, Territorial Delegate for Culture, who also attended the guided tour carried out by the director of TE, Rui Pereira.

In addition to the exhibition, visitors will also have the opportunity to complete their journey to the Golden Age of Hollywood through a classic movies cycle organized by the Filmoteca de Andalucía in which the 8 selected films are referenced in the show.

There are 161 portraits of iconic Hollywood legends from the 1920s to the 1960s, which also pay homage to the photographers who created the aesthetic that made them eternal, that can be seen until September 12, 2021, at the Centro Andaluz de la Fotografía.
